About

Growing up in a small village in Germany surrounded by trees and fields, as children we built our own worlds. Not only in our minds, but physically too. Little tents made from whatever nature handed us, and then we'd wait, half-terrified, half-thrilled, to see if our construction survived the next day. Looking back, that might be the moment my design and architecture journey began.

I was always drawn by curiosity and adventure than by comfort or any settled plan. So I moved to Vienna to study Architecture, my first step out into the world. Then I left, again, chasing whatever felt unfamiliar and challenging. Ended up building models past midnight in New York, sketching ruins in Rome, and learning in Tokyo, that getting relentlessly precise about one single thing, slowness stops feeling like a compromise. It starts feeling like happiness.

SAIBŌ is where all of this comes together. The cities I have lived in, the skills I learned, the jobs I got, the inspiring people I met, the things that went right or wrong - they grow into these objects made only in small, numbered, signed editions. Still just me. Still, somehow, a child that wants to explore what's behind the next forest.
